Bigfoot Lessons Learned: As Reported by Jack Barnes of Facebook/Findbigfoot

I had lunch yersterday with Jack Barnes, the lead researcher from Facebook/FindBigfoot and we discussed his recent expedition across the Pacific Northwest in an RV with other researchers from his Facebook page. I already knew they hadn't captured the footage of Bigfoot that they had hoped for.

Despite having more than a dozen thermal cameras (one of which was $30,000 and donated byFLIR the inventors of high-tech thermal imaging) the team came away with no convincing footage. However, there were several lessons that Jack shared with me that are worth repeating to my readers here on Yahoo!

The question I keep getting from readers is, "Where are the best videos that actually prove Bigfoot exists?" Well, there's actually a list of the best Bigfoot sightings and it includes the Top 50 videos -- with detailed analysis of most videos.

Michael Greene's Bigfoot Thermal Images: Revisited

It's Friday, or what I call "Bigfoot Friday" where I cover offbeat news about Bigfoot research or answer nagging questions from Bigfoot enthusiasts who send in emails. The nagging question of the day, which usually comes from skeptics: "Why is there still no good video footage of Bigfoot?"

I usually give my stock answer that, in fact, there are hundreds of compelling videos on Youtube or even videos with analysis on www.facebook.com/findbigfoot. And I remind skeptics that beauty is in the eye of the beholder etc. And sometimes I link the person to the recent Michael Greene thermal images of Bigfoots -- but I know even that footage won't convince most people that Bigfoots exist.

Is There a Bigfoot and the UFO Connection?

I don't get a lot of fan mail about Bigfoot but when I do it's always interesting reading. I can't even count how many times I hear from people who think there's a connection between Bigfoot sightings and UFO sightings. I usually scratch my head with one of those, "Say what?!?"

I'm assuming the people who believe in the connection are quite often Star Wars fans too. which makes me wonder if it isn't just wishful thinking that Bigfoot might be similar to Chewbacca, the Wookie character and loyal sidekick to Han Solo. Haven't we all wanted a tall hairy friend who wears a belt of bullets across his chest? Well maybe that's just my own wishful thinking but there's a heck of a lot of Bigfoot researchers who claim there's a UFO connection to these elusive bipeds in our forests.
